Katie Gilden joins Fiske & Company as a Principal for the Business Valuation, Forensic Accounting and Litigation Services Practice Group
PLANTATION, FL (December 10, 2009) – Fiske & Company, one of South Florida’s leading CPA firms, announced that Katie Gilden, CPA/CFF, CFE has joined the firm as a Principal for the Business Valuation, Forensic Accounting and Litigation Services Practice Group.
“Katie has a significant experience with complex forensic investigations, as well as litigation support for many business owners and individuals,” said Alan Fiske, Managing Director with Fiske & Company. “She has a wealth of knowledge regarding complex financial matters which make her a great asset to Fiske and Company.”
She has provided accounting and litigation support in the areas of fraud and professional negligence; evaluating and assessing accounting and audit work papers; assisting Trustees, Receivers Debtor-in-possession and Assignees for the Benefit of Creditors in carrying out various accounting and financial aspects of their fiduciary duties.
Gilden also has experience at large multinational accounting firms in the areas of state and local tax consulting. Gilden has performed extensive analysis of various tax and financial planning strategies; arranged financial analysis models to compute monetary savings resulting from planning ideas and developed pro-active strategies to mitigate future tax exposure. She has supported clients with state income tax, sales and use tax and unclaimed property audits and negotiated voluntary disclosure agreements for clients with outstanding tax liabilities.
Gilden attended University of Miami, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting as well as her Master of Business Administration in Financial Planning and Master of Science in Taxation. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
She is a resident of Plantation, Florida.
