Alan Fiske receives the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Honorary Fellowship
Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. – The American Friends of The Hebrew University (AFHU) announced that Alan P. Fiske, CPA/ABV/CFF, was recently awarded an Honorary Fellowship from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem at the University’s 73rd International Board of Governors meeting held in Israel. The honorary fellowship was awarded in recognition of Fiske’s professional achievements, efforts in support of AFHU’s mission and for his longstanding commitment to fostering the well-being of The Hebrew University and the State of Israel.
Fiske has provided exemplary service as president of AFHU’s Southeast Regional Board, a member of the organization’s national board, chairman of its Audit Committee and as a member of AFHU’s Management Committee. His dedication to support the university has impacted the development of AFHU’s ability to further the University’s 90 year legacy of excellence.
Fiske is also a member of The Hebrew University’s Board of Governors and a board member of the University’s Harry S. Truman Center for the Advancement of Peace.
“We are deeply proud that Alan Fiske is receiving an honorary fellowship insofar as Alan personifies the values of leadership, tzedakah and commitment to Jewish communal service,” said AFHU president Martin E. Karlinsky. “His concern for Israel and desire to propel higher education and research is part of every aspect of Alan’s life.”
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem bestows Honorary Fellowships upon a highly select group of esteemed individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, philanthropy and advocacy in support of Israel and the cause of higher education. Each year, Honorary Fellowship recipients are approved by The Hebrew University Faculty Senate and recognized at a ceremony in Israel during the annual International Board of Governors meeting in June.
